A documentary review was carried out on the production and publication of research papers related to study variable Criminal Law, its present future prospects. The purpose bibliometric analysis proposed in this document is know main characteristics volume publications registered Scopus database during period between 2016 2021, achieving identification 1032 total. information provided by said platform organized means tables figures categorizing Year Publication, Country Origin, Area Knowledge Type Publication. Once these were described, position different authors regarding topic referenced a qualitative analysis. Among findings research, it found that Spain country with highest production, 339 publications. area knowledge made greatest contribution construction bibliographic material referring criminal law, perspectives Social Sciences 814 published documents, type most used indicated above journal article, which represents 75% total scientific production.
